I found this song today, and thought it was beautiful. Seeing how this next month is going to be full of songs, and music, bringing the Christmas season. I am very grateful for music in my life, as it has led to so many beautiful moments, and experiences. Moments of real vulnerability, and pulling together, and bridging gaps, and moments of harmony, and helped keep the spirit alive in my life. Helped me focus on beautiful words, beautiful songs, and grow in ways that helped me feel part of a bigger family.
I hope and pray as this Christmas season comes, that the music we make, will be a sacred space where we can feel each others hearts, and sing with voices of those present, and angels, as well. To bring in the spirit of unity, and a seeing, that sees the light of the world, birthed in each soul.
In the spirit of giving thanks. I never followed up quite a while go, with my tree post, when they were chopping down my favorite trees. Bess had an idea, and between myself, Bess, and my mom. We saved our favorite trees. I wrote a letter to the man who was in charge of what trees got chopped, and I baked a pie, and mom had a pretty card of the trees she had drawn. And we gave it to him, asking him very kindly to keep our favorite trees in tact.
I think he felt a little embarrassed. But it did save our favorite trees, and every time we pass by them, I feel like they thank us, and we thank them for still growing there.
Also, right before Thanksgiving. Our drain unclogged itself. Bess had a cool idea, and got some green goop, and we poured it down the sink, and it sat there for quite a while, and then it just did some magic.
That very same day, our neighbor who is always checking in on us, insisted he help us change our tire on our car, as Bess had tried getting the lug nuts off, and they were stuck.
He was so kind, and was able to get them off. He even hauled the tire to the tire store, and helped us put it back on.
Then, he gave us tickets for the next music performance in Delta. As it seems he has never let us miss one.
This and so many things, I have to be grateful for. Now I have to get ready for messiah rehearsals.
Have a beautiful evening.
